Walser house Sandbur, Lech
The Sandbur house (Sandbauer) was demolished in 1577 in Älpele and rebuilt in its current location in Lech; it is now one of a handful of rare, original Walser houses, lovingly preserved throughout time. A traditional Walser house, lovingly preserved throughout the centuries, is now a historical B&B in one of Europe’s top ski resorts. Architect Birgit Elsensohn has now renovated the historic house with great sensitivity and attention to detail, with a magnificent result.
